The team brings more than 30 years of combined experience to domestic, commercial and industrial work. They are on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, and where emergency attendance is requested an engineer is dispatched within 30 minutes.
That combination — a full electrical contractor that also designs and installs renewables — is the whole argument for the way the work is organised. The survey, the design, the DNO paperwork, the roof work and the Part P certificate come from one company.

Scheme registration is what separates a certificate you can insure against from a receipt. What each of these actually means:
MCS Microgeneration Certification Scheme. Without it, a solar install cannot be registered and the system does not qualify for export payments.
NICEIC Approved Contractor. The installation work is assessed against BS 7671, and notifiable work can be certified.
Office for Zero Emission Vehicles approval — required to install charge points under the government schemes.
TrustMark The government-endorsed quality scheme covering trading standards as well as workmanship.
RECC Renewable Energy Consumer Code. Governs how a renewables company is allowed to sell to you.
CPS Competent Person Scheme — the route by which notifiable electrical work is self-certified rather than inspected job by job.
SafeContractor Health and safety pre-qualification, which is what commercial clients tend to ask for first.

03 Who turns up
There is no invented team page here, because Coutts Electrical do not publish one. What their reviews do show, repeatedly and by name, is who is actually on site: “Max and his team” appears across solar installs, battery retrofits, EICRs and bank-holiday emergencies, going back years.
Several reviewers are on their second or third job — panels first, then a heat-pump supply, then more panels. That is a harder thing to fake than a photograph of a smiling workforce.

Max and his team did a great job fitting anti-bird blockers around my solar panels, and removing the pigeon dirt and grime from the roof and gutters - not the pleasantest of jobs! Very efficient and prompt.
Max was very friendly, responsive and helpful in advising us when we needed some solar panels installed by the previous owner temporarily removed to allow for a new roof and an internal light switch fixed. Max and his team were excellent in removing the panels, cleaning them and reinstalling them with some new brackets as we changed the type of roof tile. Rearranging the time to reinstall them due to delays to the roofing caused by bad weather was not a problem. Would definitely use them again. Thanks
