I have just had a Solar system installed by Coutts and the experience from start to finish has been first class. The support in designing a system to meet my requirements was excellent, the team that carried out the installation where first rate and the commissioning and explanation as to how I work with the new system was great. I would thoroughly recommend Max and his his team to provide a great service from start to finish, big thanks.

Max and his team installed my original solar panels a few years ago and have been back more recently to install the electrics for a heat pump and increase the number of panels. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat for any job you might have

Max and his team did a great job fitting anti-bird blockers around my solar panels, and removing the pigeon dirt and grime from the roof and gutters - not the pleasantest of jobs! Very efficient and prompt.

Max was very friendly, responsive and helpful in advising us when we needed some solar panels installed by the previous owner temporarily removed to allow for a new roof and an internal light switch fixed. Max and his team were excellent in removing the panels, cleaning them and reinstalling them with some new brackets as we changed the type of roof tile. Rearranging the time to reinstall them due to delays to the roofing caused by bad weather was not a problem. Would definitely use them again. Thanks

Very efficient service from Max and Alex. They made completing an Electrical Condition Report and then repairs where required in or office seamless and not intrusive at all. Really great for peace of mind. Thank you

07 Questions from Bromley

Asked here,
answered with the data.

Every answer below is built from the sourced figures on this page.

Which electricity network covers Bromley?

Bromley is on London Power Networks (LPN), run by UK Power Networks. Any solar, battery or EV charger install is notified to them under the G98 or G99 process, which Coutts handle as part of every job.

How much electricity would solar panels generate on a house in Bromley?

PVGIS models about 4,156 kWh a year for a 4 kWp south-facing array at Bromley's coordinates, assuming an unshaded roof at 35°. East- or west-facing roofs produce less, and a survey is the only way to size a real system.

How many homes in the London Borough of Bromley already have solar panels?

DESNZ recorded 4,093 solar PV installations in the London Borough of Bromley at the end of 2025, up 68% since 2020 — about 3.0% of its estimated 135,800 households.

Do I need planning permission for solar panels in Bromley?

Most roof-mounted solar on a house in England is permitted development under Schedule 2, Part 14, Class A of the General Permitted Development Order 2015, subject to its conditions. Listed buildings and some conservation-area roofs facing a highway are treated differently, so check with London Borough of Bromley council before work starts if either applies.

Do Coutts cover emergency call-outs in Bromley?

Yes. Coutts Electrical are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and where emergency attendance is requested an engineer is dispatched within 30 minutes. Bromley is 6.6 miles from the Biggin Hill office.
