Installation of 10 solar panels, a MyEnergi battery and car charger. Max and the team were well organised, excellent communicators and methodical with their work.. the work was completed on time and everything was tidy when they left. No great demand for cups of tea, but nevertheless grateful when they received them :).

07 Questions from Chislehurst

Asked here,
answered with the data.

Every answer below is built from the sourced figures on this page.

Which electricity network covers Chislehurst?

Chislehurst is on London Power Networks (LPN), run by UK Power Networks. Any solar, battery or EV charger install is notified to them under the G98 or G99 process, which Coutts handle as part of every job.

How much electricity would solar panels generate on a house in Chislehurst?

PVGIS models about 4,178 kWh a year for a 4 kWp south-facing array at Chislehurst's coordinates, assuming an unshaded roof at 35°. East- or west-facing roofs produce less, and a survey is the only way to size a real system.

How many homes in the London Borough of Bromley already have solar panels?

DESNZ recorded 4,093 solar PV installations in the London Borough of Bromley at the end of 2025, up 68% since 2020 — about 3.0% of its estimated 135,800 households.

Do I need planning permission for solar panels in Chislehurst?

Most roof-mounted solar on a house in England is permitted development under Schedule 2, Part 14, Class A of the General Permitted Development Order 2015, subject to its conditions. Listed buildings and some conservation-area roofs facing a highway are treated differently, so check with London Borough of Bromley council before work starts if either applies.

Do Coutts cover emergency call-outs in Chislehurst?

Yes. Coutts Electrical are on call 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, and where emergency attendance is requested an engineer is dispatched within 30 minutes. Chislehurst is 4.7 miles from the Keston office.
